The Buzz About Art Worth

The Shops at Clear Fork, celebrating the 3rd annual Art Worth Festival in October

Coowesta Hendrickson

" I thank the fortunate people who choose to support events like this which not only helps artists, business and the City but also allows people like me to participate because it is free. Also, it is much less intimidating being outside."   - Coowesta Hendrikson, Fort Worth

"Art Worth was one of the best cultural

experiences I’ve attended. Works of

local visual artists, live performances,

shopping for unique gifts. No one should

miss this annual event!”

Erma Lee

“Art Worth 2023 was a surprisingly amazing experience! The surprise was that I hadn’t heard everyone talking about it. Greg Belz thought of and acted on every detail to make for a stellar occasion for artists and collectors. While it may have been Fort Worth’s best kept secret, it is certainly not going to remain secret for long! It is truly an event not to be missed.”   - Erma Lee, Community Volunteer

“The Art Worth Festival is quickly establishing itself as an essential part of Fort Worth’s cultural landscape, and the Fort Worth City Band is proud to participate. Our involvement in the festival allows us to reach a more eclectic mix of listeners and contribute to the city’s artistic landscape. Fort Worth has a rich history of promoting the arts and this festival adds an important layer of access allowing the public to experience art of diverse mediums, as well as quality live music, in a delightfully laid back manner!”

I was honored to be chosen as one of the demonstration artists for the inaugural Art Worth festival in 2022, experienced the entire nascent event, had the pleasure of getting to know Greg Belz personally and discovered how genuinely committed he is to making this an ongoing and vital part of the vibrant Fort Worth art scene. The people of this community are serious about the arts and Art Worth offers an exceptional venue that promises it's attendees a relaxed and unhurried opportunity to casually browse the multitude of exceptionally talented artists at a leisurely pace. I began as a demonstration artist the first year, was chosen as a judge for the second and this year, I am excited to be selected as one of this very elite group of artists. Art Worth is a unique treasure that needs to be experienced.

I have had the opportunity to volunteer for the newest arts festival in Fort Worth, called 'Art Worth', since it started.

After 2 years in the Museum District, the festival has moved to the upscale Shops at Clearfork, located off of I-20 and Chislom Trail Parkway. If you love art, art demonstrations, and you like hanging out with artists, this is the place to be.

The show is free, the restaurants are top notch and the music trends toward classical.  ~ Thomas Lake, Community Volunteer

Greg Stehle

Why I love Art Worth: I am Greg Stehle, owner of Greg Stehle Studios, Past President of the Woodturners of North Texas, and current Executive Board Member of the Southwest Association of Woodturners (SWAT), one of the largest woodturning symposiums in the world. I participated in Art Worth in 2022 and 2023 as a demonstrator,  and I am very much looking forward to Art Worth 2024 at a new and excellent location.

My experience with the Art Worth organization and the event itself has been nothing short of fabulous! The support from the staff and volunteers has been over the top, and Greg Belz, the director, has made the entire experience so easy and enjoyable. The attendees were wonderful and we had opportunities all day long to show our art pieces and share our knowledge and methods.

Art Worth is such a positive event for artists, patrons of the arts and for Fort Worth as a whole. The growth of knowledge and interest in the arts can only make a community greater, and Art Worth has a wonderful influence on the community!

I love Art Worth!

“We were pleased and honored to perform at the Arts Worth Festival along with all the other music organizations represented. Art Worth is a convivial arts showcase where visual artists and musicians can share our work in a relaxed outdoor setting with our community. As performers, it was fun putting together a musical program that recalled the history of Fort Worth and Texas, and we hope that our audience came away with new and interesting finds.”

There will also be 80 exhibiting artists selected through a rigorous jury process, from among hundreds of applications; these include a number of North Texas artists. This event, which is free and open to the public, will give guests an opportunity to learn about how art is created through the afore mentioned demonstrations, as well as conversations with the exhibiting artists.

The Art Worth Festival also provides guests with the opportunity to enjoy performances of classical music by area ensembles ranging from the Meacham Middle and Trinity Valley School Orchestras to the Music programs of TCU, UTA and UNT, as well as the Fort Worth City Band, the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra, and professional companies such as the Fort Worth Opera.
